About the Host: Celina Garcia is an incredible woman of God whom He has equipped for powerful intercession. She is a ROAR Academy Alumni & ROAR Collective Member and is the head of ROAR Intercession. Celina has worked in Corporate America working in Treasury and Finance, and is a business owner, advancing the Kingdom in businesses, non-profit organizations and ministries. She’s been in the realm of prophetic intercession for 10+ years and is the Prayer & Leadership Development Lead for Generals International, as well as the head of ROAR Intercession. She is a wife of 30 years and has 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
Celina Garcia will be equipping us tonight around the topic of intercession. It’s time for you to step into a victorious life. Let’s get excited about prayer, about breakthrough, because anytime we encounter truth – breakthrough is on the other side. Tonight’s session covers spiritual identity, dominion, and spiritual warfare.
KEY PRINCIPLES FOR PRAYER:
The Fuel for prayer is LOVE! Everything flows from the love of God within us. Our only motivation for prayer is God. When we move (operate) in our God given authority, there is no striving nor performance. It’s moving simply from His perspective and this brings JOY to our hearts, for we have a love to do it. It’s everything about encountering God.
It stems from relationship and intimacy from Jesus through daily devotion as He is the lover of our soul, and He comes first before anything else. It’s a real lifestyle and bring us into maturity.
Psalm 27:4 “I’m asking God for one thing, only one thing: To live with him in his house my whole life long. I’ll contemplate his beauty; I’ll study at his feet.”

SPIRITUAL IDENTITY: who we are and what we have.
We must first know who we are before we know what we can do. When we step into identity we know that we are Children of God; divine beings. The manifest presence of God is in us and on us when we pray, even our clothes becomes saturated with power.
We have access to ALL the resources of the kingdom and we receive our inheritance NOW, we don’t have to wait to make it to the other side. How do we access? Gods throne: we are able to approach His throne of grace with confidence where we receive mercy and find grace.
Second is through intimacy: abiding in heaven where the secrets are unlocked, cultivating a life with God where we grow in a close relationship. Ask, seek, knock.
Matthew 7:7-11 “Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This isn’t a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your child asks for bread, do you trick him with sawdust? If he asks for fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing. You’re at least decent to your own children. So don’t you think the God who conceived you in love will be even better?”
We have authority over unclean spirits to cast out and heal every kind of disease and sickness Matthew 10:1.
We are co-heirs of Christ: Gal 3:26-29, baptized into Christ, clothed with Christ. We are heirs according to the promise, we share equal in our relationship with Him.
Romans 8:16-17 “The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children and heirs of God, fellow heirs with Christ if indeed we suffer with Him that we may also be Glorified with Him.”
We are citizens of Heaven seated in heavenly places, living from heavens perspective; operating from heaven to earth, not vice versa, and this dictates our activity on earth. We have access to Gods kingdom, power, and provision. We are victors and not victims.
We are friends with God – as Moses spoke to God face to face; Exodus 33:11. This requires openness and honestly. James 2:23 “Abraham believed God..and was called a friend of God”.
We are Royalty: kings, rulers, royal priesthood, ministers, a go between, a mediator, representative to the world, saints, holy believers, holy nations, co-laborers, partners. He gave Man the responsibility to rule and enforce the victory of Jesus here on the earth.
As we step into spiritual identity, we KNOW who we are, that we’re seated in the heavens with God Himself in the High places. This tells us (helps us understand) what we can do (how we can operate). With Christ, the anointed One, and in partnership with Holy Spirit. We are full of the Spirit: we are led by Holy Spirit and we minister by the power of Holy Spirit. Thru Holy Spirit we are all anointed just like Jesus was.
Let’s step out of the boat, let’s step into the deep, it’s time to go higher in intercession into the high mountains. It doesn’t matter what’s going on in society and government, let’s step out into what HE says we are.
What lies have I believed that keeps me from stepping out of the boat?

SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY: understanding and walking in Christs victory.
Luke 10:19 “Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; nothing at all will harm you.”
Ephesians 6:10 “be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might (power)”
Authority is the permission to use that power. It’s delegated power; utilizing that power to make decision based on that power or control in any particular sphere. Freedom granted by the One in authority. The weight of the authority rests on the weight of the power behind the power, which is God Himself.
Authority is ours thru Jesus Christ. God gave Adam authority and dominion over all the earth which he surrendered over to satan when he sinned. Satan took that authority, until Jesus came and died on the cross, which Christ then restored and redeemed man to his former position of authority over satan and this world.
The name of Jesus is over ALL power and authority! Again, over All power and authority, the Name above all names, disarming public authorities and triumphed over them, rendering the power of satan null and void! We are identified with Jesus and His resurrection, in exultation we (believers who are part of His church) are seated in the heavenly places WITH Christ Jesus. Luke 10:19 (see above).
Understanding our authority: we must understand the victory that’s been WON for us by Christ. We must know (in practice, not just theory anymore) who are in Christ first (identity).
Walking in authority: this is about possessing the land. Go out, reach and teach the kingdom of heaven. Jesus came to heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons. “Greater works than these he will do (if he believes)”. Jesus is our great intercessor, He went to the Father, to the God Almighty, and intercedes daily for us.
Responsibility: who’s been given much, much will be required of/from him. We have a responsibility to use the authority that was given and invested to us as the Church, to fulfill His purposes on the earth, releasing God’s power. Matthew 28:18-20 called to fulfill the great commission. Teaching others to observe all that’s been commanded to us by Christ.
Reformers proclaim the gospel of the kingdom with power and proclaim the great commission, speaking and living the message, discipling nations and people groups, not just individuals.
We have keys of authority: keys of the kingdom of heaven (binding and loosing). We have jurisdiction. We have relationship with Christ seated in heavenly places, as saints born to rule and reign (as Christ) NOW over the earths circumstances, exercising our authority with Holy Spirit
Ephesians unveils our authority that’s been given to us NOW – our inheritance is to be used NOW, today, to advance the Kingdom of God on earth.
INTERCESSION:
“To be effective intercessors, we must learn to discern and communicate what is on the heart of God” Cindy Jacobs.
This is a gift, and those who love the gift love to pray, for it is partnership with God to work together. He instructs us to ask for things: He has made it contingent on us as intercessors. Our asking releases Him to do it, He answers prayer!
Intercession is also warfare: all powers of darkness have been placed at the feet of Jesus, which means our feet if we sit (abide in) with Him. He wants us to rule and reign on this earth and its affairs. God is looking for men and women who can release His authority on earth. We’re given a focus on God: when and where we can pray. We are the guard and watchmen on the wall.
Sometimes God will also release secrets of His heart about a minister or a ministry – we keep these in our hearts and don’t gossip for HE is trusting us regarding others weaknesses to pray for them. We cover them in prayer, we’re the go between. Steward this well. He will trust me with more as I steward the little well.
You don’t have to run to the ministry or minister and tell them that you’re praying – just pray. God will open the door to tell them if need be.
Humble myself, trust the Lord, and pray. We are asking God for divine intervention and to destroy the works of satan. We stand between heaven and earth. We petition the Father, partnering with His heart and will in order to Accelerate HIS purposes on the earth.
Sometimes we can stop something, other times we’ll just soften the blow.
Jill Hamon, Bill Hamon’s daughter: “God put me on that plane to intercede and the plane didn’t crash.”
Intercession takes courage and perseverance, led and guided in partnership ONLY with Holy Spirit. This is a safe place as we pray, preventing us from imposing our own will for others. Our own will is witchcraft prayers. We intercede by praying God’s heart and truth over the people and situations. Love the person and hate the sin. Yes, it’s hard, but HE loves those people so we reflect it – loving what HE loves and hating what HE hates.
MINISTRY OF INTERCESSION:
“An intercessor is a man, woman, or child who fights on behalf of others. This is an activity that identifies us most with Christ – to be like Jesus for HE ever lives to intercede!”
This is where we stand in the gap and can spend hours alone with God just praying. It’s a gift that God bestows. The Lord will guide us to where we need to be, stay in this lane and behind Jesus only. We are imitators of the Great Intercessor. Even Jesus Himself went away all night to pray.
We destroy spiritual strategies of the enemy. There’s always bad with the good, satan is always around. We don’t give him more time than he needs but we should never under estimate him and must stay alert (sober minded) for our warfare is a hand to hand combat with an enemy who is after us to destroy us – 2 Cor 2:11 “for we are not ignorant of satan’s schemes (to be taken advantage of)”, but we must put on the full armor of God to stand firm against his schemes”
Isaiah 62:6 “on your walls oh Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen all day and night and they’ll never keep silent [to put the Lord in remembrance of His promises]”
God is asking us to look into the distance thru prayer and see, not only what the devil is doing, but what GOD is doing. We see both and focus on God’s good work.
8 Prayer watches: 1st begins in the evening 6-9 pm, and go in 3 hr segments. When God calls you to certain hours you can’t get away from it, you’ll know and feel it.
5 points to Developing a watchman’s eye:
Tell the Lord “I am willing to be a watchman”
Keep my heart pure to discern the areas that God wants me to pray into/about
Develop a God consciousness (I am on call to pray or sound the alarm)
God will reveal intimate needs of others (who, what, etc.) this is a deep Trust and not to be shared, for we are a friend unto the Lord
Many times we won’t speak to that person, God in His time will do His thing
Don’t be afraid to pray prayers that seem unusual
GIFT OF INTERCESSION:
“Certain Christians have a special ability to pray for extended period of time on a regular basis and seek frequent and specific prayer to a much greater degree than the average person”
Luke 2:37 (Anna, a widow, 84yrs old)
Exodus 17:12 Moses hands got heavy, then supported by his men
Daniel prayed for days until peace came
As a prayer guard being on the front line, we will take hits, so learn to armor up, be saturated in the intimate place, have oil, have strength in my relationship with the Lord, know my Lord and His authority entrusted to me, suit up in the armor and never quit.
Prophetic intercessors (dreams, visions, hearing Gods voice) : many times these rise early and check-in with the Lord on what the prayer assignment is for that day. These decree and prophesy vs just asking for mercy and crying out for others.
Prophetic often has an assignment piece attached to it, vs we’re all called to pray
SPIRITUAL WAREFARE:
Spiritual mapping, deliverance, etc. – big umbrella. Tonight is foundation for dominion intercession.
We must first understand and acknowledge that we are in a war. Its real! We must be aware of the raging war around us daily, which isn’t seen to the carnal eye or mind. It’s military operations between competing entities, a conflict of parties.
Warfare consists of battles fought on different fronts, for different reasons and entities.
Satan’s #1 lie is to make us believe that he doesn’t exist.
We must walk victoriously as an agent of faith, as a victor and not victims:
Dominion is a synonym for Kingdom. We have the honor and responsibility to bring Gods kingdom into manifestation!
We are His enforcers of HIS will on the earth, it’s done THROUGH us.
Isaiah 9:6 “..and the government will rest on His shoulders..and there will be no end to the INCREASE of His government or peace”. We are the ones to do that
ALL things are put in subjection under Christ and all things are given to His body. We are in a war against unrighteousness, injustice, and wickedness – not flesh. All things should be filled with the Knowledge of the Lord. To be like Him, compassionate, full of mercy, filled with His nature and character across the entire earth.
Genesis 1:28 “..be fruitful, multiply, fill earth and subdue it, have dominion over fish of sea, birds of heavens, and every little creeping thing upon the earth”
We restore all things to Him for we have a dominion mandate. We can’t just deal with the things which we are only able to see physically in this temporal realm. We cannot subdue all things unless we also deal with the invisible heaven realm, spirit realm. What’s manifested physically first proceeds from the spirit realm.
We fill the systems of the earth within our spheres of influence. If we don’t do this for the systems, then these systems will be filled with other things. We must understand the heavens and the earth.
God is omnipresent, everywhere – satan is not. Satan establishes his rule by dominion thru powers of darkness that control certain geographical regions. As we begin to do warfare in the heavens, we’re not just dealing with the demonic; there are angels and heavenly host of God awaiting to fight on God’s behalf, activated by Gods word as we Decree a thing.
Daniel 7 – dominion intercession chapter
v9: introduces the word “Throne”. Two cannot rule and exist on the same throne, nor can be in authority at one time from one throne. When we move in intercession there is a shift in that rulership that happens in the heavens and shifts the atmosphere of earth too.
The kingdom of God will not come into full manifestation until we understand and operate the heavenly things as well as the earthly things.
Satan wants us to believe that there’s nothing supernatural, this is one of his greatest deceitful ways. Where two or three agree we can change and shift heaven and earth – powers of darkness will be broken off of people’s minds(for this is the real spiritual realm).
Learn to Trust the lord because we won’t see things immediately
Ask for some confirmation about my prayer even though real big changes aren’t visible yet in the carnal realm
Don’t take it personally (offended as an orphan, victim mindset), but as Ambassadors we do His will advancing His kingdom through faithfulness and persistence
We can fight for big things by exercising authority that’s given to us from heaven.
Daniel 7:14: we’re given dominion, glory, and a kingdom that all people, nations, and men of every language might serve him; an everlasting dominion which won’t ever be destroyed!
v25: adversary speaks out against the most high and wears out the saints. Devil afflicts us mentally, for satan wants to be a law giver to change times and laws in order to control cities and nations.
26: court sits for judgment and satan’s dominion will be destroyed. We are that court in intercession. We decree and shift rulership and its manifested on earth. We legislate in the heavens first – we must be bold enough to decree things to change (big things like abortion, sexism, pornography, etc.*)
Colossians 2:15 “disarmed rulers and authorities, making a public display over them, disgracing the adversary, triumphing over them Through Him (Christ)!”
*“Shut the door only to what you’re led to shut” – do it first from relationship, from the intimate place with oil gathered. Stay in the lane and in-sync with God, don’t venture out of it. Use Wisdom! This is a very important concept and Must be understood in all seriousness and maturity. When we march carnally into a spiritual battle, we Will experience unnecessary casualties. But when we align ourself with God’s truth and His perspective, the battle is simple for we just profess His Word and the heavenly host does the battling. Otherwise we invite unnecessary attention and become sitting ducks. But if we’re marching in cadence with Christ (behind Him for He is our shield) then we are safe and our prayers are pleasant and powerful to Him!
